Another one about make up and the like.. plus pictures :)

Another boring post about make up. It's okay though because these entries are for me only anways. It's my reminder list.. sort of.

Baby told me yesterday that my make up (foundation) makes my face white and that he doesn't like that (well, duh.. I don't either). That made me pretty sad because he was talking about my BRTC Perfect Recover B.B Cream! I waited for that in the mail and was so eager to try it. When I found out it only comes in one shade, I was a tad bit skeptical, seeing as how I've been using that gradual tanner for face from Jergens (I think it really does work by the way). So anyways, I've deemed that to be "Winter make up" so now I have no foundation. I've been using CoverGirl TruBlends Finishing Veil in TRANSLUCENT!!!! Surprisingly, it's not that bad though.. I think it's just enough coverage. (I gotta give it to CG, I was starting to think that I dislike all/any make up produced by CG but the TruBlends line, I think, is pretty darn good. The finishing veil I'm using feels great on my face!) However, I DO need to have some kind of foundation around so..

  • bareMinerals Newbie Complexion Kit ($18 @Sephora)

I've been wanting to try bareMinerals for SOOOOOOOO long but it's expensive.. I mean I can afford it but everytime I said I'd get it next, I'd just get something else. This time, I'm really going to try it out.. key words, try. That's right, with the less expensive, less extensive kit.

I'm running out of my creams. I've been using Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle for Night and the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Eye Cream for the past, I don't know, 4? 5 months? I don't really see a difference. There are still fine lines on my forehead and under my eyes.  I guess I can try the intensive version but I've been seeing Olay Professional Pro X ads everywhere for the past several months. It's an expensive line but I think this is where Baby's ebay skills come in.

  • Olay Professional Pro-X Anti-Aging Starter Protocol Kit (willing to pay $20-38 @ebay.com)

Overall, I think my skin has gotten better. I'm breaking out less now, I'd say thanks to skinID, although I'm not using it currently. I think my face needs some kind of re-surfacing though. I use Neutrogena Wave about 1-2 times a week and pore strips about once every 1 1/2 week or so but I want something more!  Baby says I want too many things. But hey, I'm striving to get my clear face back (well, almost). I want to have one of those microdermabrasion sessions but since I'm not balling like that, I can settle for the at-home versions. Since I'm a Neutrogena lover, I think I'll go with theirs. This product is also pretty pricey. Thank goodness for ebay.

  • Neutrogena Advanced Solutions At Home Microdermabrasion System ($21.99 @ebay.com)

I've read in some places that people got few small pimples due to the microdermabrasion. We'll see how it goes.

My mom's a Clinique gal and when I ran out of my Korean sun balm, she gave me the extra Clinique Super City Sunblock SPF 40. It's oil-free but it feels so damn greasy! I later found out that they carry a "sheer" version of this. Anyways, since it was given to me by my mom and she has since ran out, I'll be giving it back to her. She loves this stuff. As for me, I need something light but strong. Protects from both UVA/UVB with a high SPF but doesn't smell funky or feel greasy.

  • Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 100+ or 85 ($8.39 on sale RIGHT NOW @CVS)

The skinID cleanser that I was using prior to my Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub doubled as a mask. I think I only used it about once or twice. I wasn't bad but I didn't like the fact that I was wasting my cleanser. That thing cost $15 for one small bottle! I do need to get a mask though. I want to try a clay one. Something that won't irritate my skin, something effective, something that's going to last.

  • Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque ($3.99 @Walgreens)

I can't think of what else I need, probably means I don't really need it. Hah! Well, we're going into frugal mode again. Which means that I won't be going out anywhere for a while, possibly for a long while. Also, this means my "I want"s must seize. Boo hoo.  Probably won't see my bestie for a while. It's okay bff, next time we kick it, we'll both have more money.. tis good.

Starting July 1st, I'm going to be hitting the gym 5 days a week. M-O-T-I-V-A-T-I-O-N Mine is to save money, feel good, look sexy sexier.  (jk) What's yours?

Now, I'll leave you with some pictures of me and the awesome bff @ Knotts for mi 21st. These are the pictures from my cell, the ones from the camera shall come at a later time.

Yup, that's how Baby takes pictures! Aren't we so purty?! hahaha  for some odd reason, I love this picture.

I miss you, my bitch!  Good luck!! (you know what I'm talking about)

R Motorsports

This entry will be the reason for my xanga page finally being open to the public. I want to tell the world about my experience with the R Motorsports. This is the used car dealership that we bought our 1999 Volkswagen Passat from.

The week of April 20 - April 24, we contacted R Motorsports and talked to "David". We corresponded through email and we asked to go see the car on Saturday. He said that would be fine and that he'll see us on Saturday. So on Saturday, we made our way down there in hopes of seeing the car and even maybe negotiating on the price.. that day. Now, when a person tells you that it's okay to come see a car and even agreed on a date and time, you'd think they have the car. No. They did not. They gave us some excuse about how someone else had a hold on it because they wanted it to be inspected before making the final purchase so it was at the dealer. But the people who left a deposit on it couldn't wait for the car so they just took back the deposit, half of it at least, and decided to get another car. The deposit after seeing the car was $1000 and they told us that if we wanted to be guaranteed that we'd be able to see the car, we would have to leave a deposit. They only took $50 since we didn't even see the car yet, which is reasonable.

We left the dealership relieved that we had put a hold on it but pretty pissed off about the fact that they made us drive 20+ miles just for us to pay $500 dollars. Like.. wtf is that? I wanted to see the effing car! But anyways, they said it'd be in by next weekend so whatever.

The next Saturday, May 2, we called R Motorsports to make sure they had gotten the car back before we started heading there. David was not in so someone else told us that they did receive the car and to come on down. Guess what? It wasn't there. We had made a trip for completely nothing. Just because someone from R Motorsports didn't know what the hell he was talking about. Thanks, buddy.

I was oh-so very ticked off. That's when I started feeling like they really were just toying with us. We agreed that we would come see it on Wednesday because the car was going to be there by Wednesday, no doubt. NOT!! David wasn't even in that day. I wondered if he deliberately told us a day that he was not going to be there to prolong this. Anyways, we left a message with "Janet" saying to call us as soon as he got in the next morning.

So the next day, Thursday, we didn't get a call. Yea, right! So we started calling, trying to get a hold of David. He was supposedly out running errands. Okay. So he's in today but didn't even call us back?! Ugh. We finally got a hold of him and told him that we're ready to go pick up the money. He called us back telling us to come see the car that day. We started heading there and kept calling to check if the car was there. And of course, it was not. It was somewhere else because the ECU was replaced which meant that the key had to be programmed. We waited at R Motorsports until we couldn't take it anymore and went where the car was. Honestly, we could've done it like that from the beginning but they just like to fuck with us. So we saw the car and was like.. eh, I guess it's okay for this price. We were set on working on a price for the car because we were not going to pay the price they gave us. Not for the condition it was in. Cosmetic damages. We couldn't even test drive the car because the key wasn't programmed yet.

On Friday, we were supposed to go and negotiate on the price but when we called, David said he was feeling sick and had to go home early but that "Z" would help us when we get there. So we went and found Z. We sat down to talk about the price and she was just like "Okay.. the price is the price." Uhhh.... okay. I asked her if she was open for a negotiation, she didn't even answer it. She just beat around the bush, saying the price is the price. Pretty much, you're saying no, you're not open for a negotiation then, dumbass. I got so heated, I told her I want my money back and her retort? "You have to get that from David." I was about to go ballistic! She was telling me that I came 20+ miles after 8 hours of work for this shit?! To be treated like scum even after all the bullshit they put us through? She was telling me that I have to get it from David personally? I mean, wtf?! Was she telling me that he pocketed my money? She was telling me that I have to drive back down 20+ miles just go get my money from him another day just because his pansyass got sick and left early? WTF! I wanted to punch her in the face. I kind of went off on her saying I want my money and she was trying to be all smart tapping her pockets saying "I don't have your money." I wanted to tackle her!

She went into the other room, I assumed to get my money. She came back out with a guy named "Tim". He was the guy that told us to make that useless trip. We talked about it and he was trying not to lose a customer so we tried to negotiate on the price but he wasn't trying to lower the price either so eventually, I told him that I wanted my money back. He asked for the receipt and I gave it to him. After he took a look at it, he was open for a negotiation. He didn't want to give me my money back. Well, of course. Who wants to keep $500 for a few weeks to give it back? They already see it as their money, right? But it's bullshit because that's how they treat you until they realize that if they don't comply, it's a lose for them. Really? What the FUCK is that?! We finally settled on a price and we wanted to test drive it but they asked us to do it tomorrow. We weren't going to leave but they begged us to, so we did.

On Saturday, May 9, we were supposed to celebrate a friend's birthday up at Valencia. The plan was to go pick up the car and be at Valencia at least by 2? Wasn't going to happen. We went to find out that the car wasn't there, once again. It was out getting a new tire, smog and alignment. We waited there from 11AM to 5PM. That's a long time. The sun was going down and the car finally came. They detailed it for us and we were FINALLY done.We didn't even test drive it before driving it off. I guess that's somewhat our fault too but we were not aware that the car was going to be getting repairs that day and we had plans, which might I add, they knew about.

I noticed that they post their cars for sale when it's not even ready to sell yet. Ever since we first talked to them about the car, they kept saying it was in good condition and it runs great yet they had a hard time getting the car back after an inspection (I wonder why?!?!), ECU had to be replaced, needed a new tire and alignment was way off. They should've had all of that done before making it "available" to the public. I feel scammed. I feel like I was tricked into giving them $500 for them to prolong this. They probably knew that after leaving $500, I would be patient to a certain extent.

I'm writing this entry in hopes of helping others who choose to buy a used car in the Los Angeles area and is considering buying it from R Motorsports. I doubt this will happen but I'm really hoping on it. I hope whoever looks up R Motorsports will find this entry (that's the whole reason why I'm opening my xanga to the public) and reconsider. By the way, our car is at the shop right now because it started shaking and feeling like it had very little power about two weeks ago and they only agreed to a one week warranty. Pretty pathetic.

Sure, their inventory consists of performance and luxury vehicles but trust me, THEY DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THEM, ANY OF THEM!!!! I guarantee that car will have problems in the near future. Just find another used car dealership that sells performance and luxury vehicles. I'm sure you can find one that'll treat you with more respect as a customer and offer a collection of better, safer cars.

I love Bestie Time!!!

Yay!! I got to kick it with my bestie the whole day on Saturday!!

Swam but really, I thought I was going to be getting some exercise with the swimming but it didn't really feel like it.. I felt like all I was doing was floating around. Hah! Met all these new people which was really cool because all of them are very nice and fun to hang with. Stopped by Menchie's to visit Amanda. If you're ever out in Santa Clarita, go to Menchie's! They have really good frozen yogurt in all these different flavors. It's great! The flavors are really delicious too!  My shoe broke and we went to the mall but someone had to have a "moment" so I didn't even get to buy new shoes and had to walk around in broken shoes for most of the day. AHEM! That really pissed me off how he handled himself when we got back to Amanda's but whatever, I gave him a piece of my mind.. to find out that it was because he missed me.  Awww.. he was having a fit because he doesn't like to share me. But oh well, my bestie is mi numero uno. I really missed just kicking back at a homies pad and/or going to the mall with my bestie! I don't get to see her often so I cherish every moment with her.  Every girl needs a best friend like mine.. hehe! My bestie looked like she was enjoying herself and I got to meet a lot of her awesome friends too! Ended up having a pretty great Saturday.. again, minus the mall drama. Definately going to be spending a lot more time up in Santa Clarita this Summer~~~

We're planning on going hiking at Escondido Falls in Malibu this coming Saturday. Eek!! I'm excited!! It's a 3-day weekend, I feel like I should be doing something more like going to Morongo but we should really save up.

Argh!! I'm getting concerned with the wrinkles on my forehead. I have fine wrinkles all across it but they're starting to get deeper. I've been using Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream but have yet to see results. The fact that I've been uber lazy and haven't been washing my face every night is probably also a factor in this.

My birthday is coming up!!
